Privacy notes
The short version: charts are made on your device, we do not upload what you type, and we do not ask who you are.
Last updated September 30, 2026.
In plain language
- No account, no sign-up, no email address needed.
- The numbers, labels and files you use to make a chart are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Your work is saved only in your own browser, so you can come back to it.
- We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising.
What is processed in your browser
Everything you enter (data, titles, settings) and any CSV or text file you choose stays on your device. The chart is drawn as an SVG, and PNG, JPG and SVG files are created locally when you download or copy. Files you pick are read with your browser’s File API and are never uploaded.
What is stored on your device
To let you return to your work, the editor saves your current chart (data and settings) to your browser’s local storage, under a key for the tool you used. This stays on your device. You can replace it with the example chart at any time using Reset to example in the Export tab, or remove it entirely by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings. If local storage is unavailable, for example in a private window, the tools still work but will not remember your chart.
Share links contain your data
The Copy share link button encodes your chart, including its data, into the part of the web address after the #. Browsers do not send that
part to servers, so we do not receive it. But anyone you give the link to can read the data inside it, and messaging or social apps may store the links you paste.
Only share a link if you are happy for its recipients to see the chart’s data.
Cookies
We do not set cookies for tracking or advertising. The site does not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking scripts.
Analytics
At the time of writing this site does not run analytics scripts. If we add privacy-friendly analytics, we will describe it here first. It would never include the contents of your charts.
Our hosting provider
Like any website, our hosting provider handles requests for pages and images and keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, the page requested and your browser type, in order to deliver and secure the site. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
Children
The tools are used in classrooms. They do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@bargraphmaker.tech.
